How anything gets published here
Editorial policy
The site’s one promise is that every source is named. This page sets out what that means in practice — what is checked, by whom, and what is done when something turns out to be wrong.

1Whose words you are reading#
Every line of syllabus is marked as either the Board’s own wording or our breakdown of it. Boards publish at different levels of detail, and a single broad line often has to be split so that material and questions can be attached to something specific. That split is ours, and it is labelled as ours rather than presented as the Board’s.
2What "verified" means here#
Verified means a named person compared the item against the Board’s own document and recorded that they had. It never means that a script was satisfied, and it is never applied automatically.
Where something has not been checked that way, it is not called verified. Some pages carry a provisional marker instead, and that marker says what the information rests on — for example, a pattern read from an older official paper rather than a current notification.
3Official updates#
Notices, dates and results are published only after a person has read the Board’s own document and compared it line by line. Nothing is scraped from another site and posted automatically, because an error copied quickly is still an error.
Where two official documents disagree — which does happen — the page says so rather than choosing silently.
4How practice questions are written#
Practice questions are original to this site. They are not taken from past papers, and each goes through the same checks before it is published:
- it is attached to the syllabus heading it tests, so practice can be steered by what you are weak at
- the questions already on that heading are read first, and the new one is compared against them, so that the same idea is not tested twice in different words
- the position of the correct option is counted across the set, so that the answer is not disproportionately in one place
- a question is offered in a language only when the whole of it is in that language — the question, every option and the explanation. A partly translated question is not published, because half a screen in each language is worse than none
5Previous-year papers#
Past papers are kept separate from the practice bank and are labelled as such. Each question is matched to its year and paper, and a paper is released only after it has been reviewed — it does not appear the moment it is imported.
Where an official answer key and the worked answer disagree, that is examined rather than ignored; it has happened, and the page records what was found.
6Study material#
Each piece of study material is written against a specific syllabus heading, and the source it was written from is named on the page. It is meant to explain that heading, not to summarise a textbook.
7Corrections#
Corrections are welcome and are treated as useful rather than as complaints. Send the page, what it says now, and what it should say with the document you saw it in.
If the correction stands, the page is changed and the change is dated. If it does not, you get a reply saying why — a source that turns out to be wrong is worth recording too.
